Subscriptions to paid television or streaming services have become a substantial budget for sports fans in France. While the Toulouse Football Club is making a comeback in Ligue 1, and that the Toulouse Stadium still playing in the elite of French and European rugby, here is what you will have to pay to follow the Violets, and the Rouge et Noir, this season.

Stade Toulousain: subscribe to Canal + Sport, at €34.99 per month

  • The Top 14 is on Canal +… and ideally Canal + Sport

In rugby, the deal is relatively simple: it’s Canal + who has the broadcasting rights for all the days of Top 14. Where it gets complicated is that some matches will be broadcast on the encrypted channel, others on its satellites which are Canal + Sport, and Rugby+. To follow the services of Stade Toulousain, it is therefore necessary to ensure that you have an adequate subscription…

Stade being one of the biggest clubs in Europe, most of its matches will be broadcast on the parent channel of the group. The first day, which will oppose Bordeaux-Bègles to Toulouse on September 4 at 9:05 p.m., will be broadcast on Canal + classic. Just like the second, September 11 at the same time against Toulon. The third, in Pau on the 17th, and the fourth, against Racing on the 24th, will be held on Saturdays, but always on the real Canal +. Ditto for the fifth day, October 2 at the defending champion, Montpellier.

But as the season progresses, as has been the case in recent years, some games may be shown on Rugby +in particular at 5 p.m. on Saturday, multiplex schedule… To take advantage of it, it will be imperative to have the offer Canal + Sports (which also includes bein Sports). Rising : €34.99 per month (with a 24-month commitment, because without commitment, it’s €45.99… per month!) If you’re ready to skip a few second-tier Stade Toulousain posters, the offer 100% Channel at €30.99 per month (or €20.99 per month for the first year, subject to committing to 24 months) may be enough for you.

  • The Champions Cup is still not set

About the Champions Cup, that Stade Toulousain will play again this season, the broadcaster selected for the 2022-2026 period is not not yet known. Canal + and bein Sports both would be in line. Premium Video Did he also apply for the acquisition of the television rights for the European Cup? Asked by on this subject, the American giant refuses to comment. Unless a third-party broadcaster is chosen by the EPCR, the matches could therefore be included in the offer Canal + Sports.

As it stands, the inveterate fan of Stade Toulousain will have to pay a subscription of €419.88 per year to follow his favorite team. It already stings!

Toulouse Football Club: subscribe to Premium Video, even to Channel + Sports

  • Ligue 1: it’s on Amazon Prime Video (mostly)

As for Téfécé, many fans are likely to want to follow the performance of their proteges for their big comeback in Ligue 1 this year. Like last season in Ligue 2, most of the championship will be accessible on Premium Video, Amazon’s streaming service: to follow the championship, you must already be Prime service subscriber of the American giant – which allows free delivery of certain races – and pay in addition to a subscription called “League 1 pass”.

Videos: currently on Actu

Price level, lack of luck, Amazon has just announced an increase in Prime subscription in France: from September 15, it goes to €6.99 per month, Where €69.90 per year (compared to €5.99 per month, or €49.00 so far). In addition, it will therefore be necessary to pay the subscription to the Pass Ligue 1 at €12.99 per month (an unchanged amount). Small novelty: Amazon offers this year a service annual subscriptionat €99 per year, reduced to 89€ per year until August 28. An offer that did not exist, which makes the final cost less expensive than last season… Even if during the summer break, Amazon offered two months of subscription to the Ligue 1 Pass, it came back to the arrived at 129.90 euros per year, a decrease of 40 euros.

Just for Amazon, between the Prime service subscription and the Ligue 1 Pass, you will therefore have to pay 19.98 euros per month, or 158.90 euros per year (subject to committing before August 28, otherwise it will be 168.90 euros), compared to 178.90 euros last year. Either in the end 20 euros less that last season, it’s always won!

  • And also some matches on Canal +

Unfortunately, Amazon only won 80% of the TV rights… Only 8 out of 10 matches per Ligue 1 Uber Eats day will be broadcast there exclusively on Premium Video. For others, you will need a subscription… to Canal +, and as for rugby, ideally at Canal + Sport, especially for second-tier teams, which are sometimes relegated to other channels.

Concretely, the encrypted channel only broadcasts two Ligue 1 matches per day: generally a big poster on Saturday at 9 p.m., and another match on Sunday at 5 p.m.

To know also, for the (rare) nostalgic for the second division: in addition to 8 of the 10 matches of each day, Premium Video will now also broadcast the multiplex of League 2, who was on The team channel last year.

  • Will Téfécé often be on Canal +?

Premium Video offered the ten biggest posters of the championship this season, but behind, Canal + has the No. 1 choice of the match broadcast on each of these days. The schedules are set a few weeks before the matches, and announced by the Professional Football League (LFP). For the moment, only that of the first four days is known, but it is likely that during the course of the season, Téfécé matches will be broadcast. on Canal + or another channel in the Channel galaxy, which will also broadcast the Champions League.

Attention, again: if you want to follow all the matches that will be selected by the encrypted channel, you have to take the offer Canal + Sports (the same as to follow the Stadium), and not 100% Channel, which does not include Canal + Offset (on which some posters of the first four days will be shown). Amount of pain, just for Canal +? €34.99… per month, i.e. 419.88 euros per year!

  • The first four matches of Tef’ will be on Prime Video

But if you only want to follow Téfécé this season, there’s no need to rush to subscribe to Canal + : as announced by the LFP, its first four games in Ligue 1 will be all about Premium Video : against Nice on Sunday August 7 at 1 p.m., at Troyes on Sunday August 14 at 3 p.m., against Lorient on Sunday August 21 at 3 p.m., at Nantes on Sunday August 28 at 1 p.m. It remains to be seen on which channel the 5 will be broadcast.e poster of the season, and not the least: Toulouse welcomes the Paris SG Wednesday, August 31, at 8 p.m., like all the other matches that day.

Except for the daunting season of the Violets, TFC supporters will necessarily have less interest in affording a subscription to Canal + than those of OM or PSG. Unless they are, of course, also inveterate fans of Stade Toulousain!

  • And compared to last year’s overall budget?

Last year, in Ligue 2, you had to go to the antennas of bein Sports to follow the two matches not broadcast by Premium Video, and the TFC played there regularly. And it cost “only” 15 euros per month, without commitment. It was therefore necessary to pay 33.98 euros per month to follow, in full, the adventures of the Violets in Ligue 2. This season, Canal + Sports alone is more expensive, a real blow to viewers’ wallets.

Between Premium Video and Canal + Sport, the inveterate football fan must pay 54.97 euros per month, Where 578.78 euros per year. A hell of a budget! At this price, the best way to see Philippe Montanier’s protégés evolve is still to go to the Stadium! While of course it only covers home matches, renewal in Virage Taton only costs 149 euros per year : a straw, next to a subscription to Canal.

And to follow the Fenix? It’s on… beIN Sports!

The matches of Fenix Handball, which plays in the Starligue, are also broadcast on television. To follow the performance of Toulouse’s flagship handball club, supporters will have to go to beIN Sports, which has acquired television rights until 2026. Amount of the invoice: 15 euros per month, without obligation. Or take advantage of the broadcast included again, in the Canal + Sports package (at 34.99 euros per month with a 24-month commitment, or €45.99 per month without).
