The UEFA Referees Committee today announced, in chronological order of matches, the following referee teams for the 2022 UEFA club competition finals.
Slavko Vinčić will referee the 2022 UEFA Europa League final between Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers FC, which will be played on Wednesday 18 May at 21:00 CET at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in Seville, Spain.
An international referee since 2010, the 42-year-old Slovenian has officiated nine UEFA Champions League matches this season from the play-offs onwards, including the quarter-final second leg between FC Bayern Munich and Villarreal CF. This will be Mr Vinčić’s third appearance at a major UEFA club final, having served as fourth official in the 2021 UEFA Europa League final, and additional assistant referee in the 2017 final.
Vinčić will be assisted by his compatriots Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič. The fourth official, Srđan Jovanović, comes from Serbia. The role of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) has been assigned to Paulus Van Boekel (Netherlands). He will be assisted by the Slovenian Jure Praprotnik and the Spaniards Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez and Roberto Diaz Perez del Palomar.

The UEFA Referees Committee have further announced that Lina Lehtovaara will officiate the 2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League final between FC Barcelona and Olympique Lyonnais, which will be played on Saturday 21 May at 19:00 CET at Juventus Stadium in Torino, Italy.
An international referee since 2009, the 40-year-old Finn will lead a UEFA Women’s Champions League final for the first time, having been named fourth official in the 2010 final. UEFA Women’s Champions League, two group matches and the quarter-final first leg between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.
Recently appointed referee for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, she was also part of the referee team during UEFA Women’s EURO 2017.
Mrs Lehtovaara will be assisted by the Greek Chrysoula Kourompylia and the Estonian Karolin Kaivoja. The fourth official will be Jana Adámková (Czech Republic). The VAR function has been assigned to the Portuguese Tiago Bruno Lopes Martins, who will be accompanied by his compatriot João Silva Pinheiro and the Italian Paolo Valeri.

The UEFA Referees Committee has announced that Istvan Kovacs (Romania) will take charge of the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final between AS Roma and Feyenoord, which will be played on Wednesday 25 May at 21:00 CET, at Arena Kombëtare in Tirana, Albania.
Mr Kovacs, an international referee since 2010, will officiate his first UEFA club competition final. This season, the 37-year-old Romanian has refereed ten UEFA club competition matches, including the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg between Manchester City FC and Real Madrid CF.
Mr. Kovacs will be assisted by his compatriots Vasile Florin Marinescu and Mihai-Ovidiu Artene. The fourth official will be the Swiss Sandro Schärer. The VAR function has been assigned to Marco Fritz (Germany), who will be assisted by his compatriots Christian Dingert and Bastian Dankert.

The UEFA Referees Committee has appointed Clément Turpin to officiate the 2022 UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Real Madrid CF, which will take place on Saturday 28 May at 21:00 CET at the Stade de France, in Saint Denis, France.
The 39-year-old Frenchman, an international referee since 2010, will be in charge of his first UEFA Champions League final, having been appointed fourth official for the 2018 final. He has refereed seven UEFA Champions League matches this season from play-offs, including the quarter-final first leg between Chelsea FC and Real Madrid CF. Last season he captained the UEFA Europa League final.
Mr. Turpin will be assisted by his compatriots Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore. The fourth official, Benoît Bastien, is also French. The VAR function has been assigned to Jérôme Brisard (France), who will be assisted by another compatriot, Willy Delajod, and two Italians, Massimiliano Irrati and Filippo Meli.
